Larry was hired as a chemical dependency counselor in 2009. His job responsibilities include counseling in the field of drug and alcohol addiction and facilitating a variety of group sessions.

Larry has been working in the chemical addiction field for oven twenty years; he brings with him a wealth of experience. For fourteen of those years he managed the Assured Recovery (New Decisions) treatment process in the San Francisco Bay area and when the clinics closed he decided to retire. After being retired for some years, Larry realized just how much he missed being in the field so he attended The Day Star program, updated his Chemical Dependency credentials and did his internship here at Astoria Pointe.

In his own words; when asked why he wanted to leave retirement and re-enter such a challenging field Larry said, “I asked God what He wanted me to do; He put me here.”
