As a young man, Bill D. remembers when his life was unmanageable. He was unemployable and was a disgrace to himself and to everyone who knew him. He lived with pain, anger, and dead ends. He was daily walking beside death's door. It was after he was introduced to Alcoholics Anonymous that he started to learn how to live clean and sober. It was in those rooms of AA that he learned he was worth something and that he could have all of his dreams come true if he became honest and worked the 12 Step program.
Since that 18th day of August 1955, he has had over 50 years of continual sobriety. Throughout his sobriety, he has owned a number of successful businesses, has a happy marriage of nearly 50 years, and has five beautiful children. Bill and millions across the globe have been given another chance and are now happy, joyous, and free.
